Here, art and fashion have always been central to her life. She pursued her passion for art in Laguna Beach, receiving a B.A. in Graphic Design and Illustration. For the past four years, she's worked as a designer, and now leads a team across multiple merchandise categories. If Danae could describe Mulan in one word, it would be ''Fierce''. Having participated in sports for her entire school career and growing up with a brother close in age, Danae has always had a fun familial rivalry that pushed her to do better. Whether it was sparring in Tae Kwon Do, conquering larger hills in Cross Country, or winning more soccer games, the "anything you can do, I can do better" mentality was real for Danae when it meant standing up to the boys! No matter the task at hand, she always tried to emulate Mulan's strong will and perseverance. In this doll design, Danae aimed to capture Mulan's endearing duality of beauty and strength. Mulan's warrior spirit and boundless grace are traits that Danae tries to emulate even today. |
